We’re looking for Savvy communicators to serve as captains of Savvy Award judging teams and this year judging is better than ever with the new online awards system. Whether you’re an experienced judge or someone looking to judge for the first time, we’ve listened to your feedback and made judging more convenient, accessible and easier than ever before.
With the new Savvy online judging, all the entries you are judging will be on one convenient site, including links to videos and attachments. You’ll be able to start, pause and resume at any time. In response to member requests, the new system also incorporates the opportunity for judges to provide comments, which can help create stronger entries in the future and provide important professional feedback.
As a judging captain, you’ll be asked to recruit a minimum of two additional judges (for a team of at least three judges). Judges can be local government professionals within your department or organization and people from the professional, consulting and academic communities that are highly knowledgeable in marketing and communications. Each judge will individually evaluate, score and comment on the entries through the online system, with the opportunity for the group to discuss in person or via a conference call if desired.
Other benefits of leading a judging team are the chance to:
See first-hand a variety of programs and approaches presented in entries from across the country that you can emulate in your organization.
Obtain "insider knowledge" of how Savvy’s are judged so that your future entries can be even stronger, ultimately helping you bring home national recognition as a Savvy Award winner.
