Catherine has spent more than two decades in public communications, working with government, law enforcement, and non-profits along the way. For the past nine years, she’s proudly served as Chatham County, Georgia’s Public Information Director, where she built the Public Information Office from the ground up. Today, her team oversees everything from media relations and social media to the County TV Station, branding, and marketing.

A proud graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University (now Georgia Southern), Catherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice before exploring her creative side at the Art Institute

of Charleston, studying film and video editing. She had completed the Texas Christian University’s Certified Public Communicator program and holds an Advanced PIO designation from FEMA

Beyond her day job, Catherine is committed to serving her community. She’s the Chairwoman of Savannah Chatham CrimeStoppers Board of Directors, where she’s been active for over eight years. She will also be serving on the 3CMA Board of Directors, where she looks forward to connecting with and serving her peers.

When she’s not behind a camera, Catherine and her husband, Stu, are usually chasing their shared love of history—whether that’s touring museums, exploring battlefields, or even joyriding in historic military planes. The two also spent several years volunteering at Fort Pulaski, where Catherine captured stories through photos and video while Stu fired cannons (literally). Together they have fostered over 165 young kittens for Chatham County Animal Services in addition to having two dogs, Lorena Rose and Sir Winston, and way too many cats of their own.
