Join Savvy Communicators and
Marketers from Around the County!

For 20 years 3CMA has been helping Savvy communicators and marketers stay connected and informed by sponsoring the Savvy Awards.  We'd like you to share your successes with other local governments and perhaps, win an award!  What Savvy ideas are you proud of?  Have you been Savvy this year?  Have you really made your city or county shine?  Enter 3CMA's 20th Annual Savvy Awards competition.

The Savvy Awards competition recognizes outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships.  The Savvies salute skilled and effective city, county, or agency professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing.

The Savvy Awards program also serves as an increasingly important forum for exchanging cutting-edge information and ideas among government professionals.  Local governments are in the spotlight now, more than ever.  Local government officials must react with innovative, creative approaches and programs.  In the Savvy competition, you can share with others how you have risen to the challenge.  Other local government professionals would like to learn from your experience and exchange ideas that may help you in the future.

Awards Competition

How the Savvy Program Works

  1. Awards are presented for creative and successful programs in two areas: Communication & Marketing Tools, and Communication & Marketing Processes.

  2. Tools are what you use to get the job done.  They include publications, television and video, marketing campaigns, special events and new technologies.

  3. Processes are broad categories of activity, such as citizen participation and communication plans.

  4. Savvy Awards are presented in 10 categories with 31 subcategories.  For judging purposes, Savvy Awards are given for each population group in each category.  Second place Silver Circle Awards and third place Awards of Excellence are awarded in each category.
