“Do You Want to Build a Playground?” parody public service announcement was a communications tool to recruit community volunteers to build a grant-funded playground. The project not only built a new playground, but also built a sense of community when over 200 volunteers worked together on one goal.

Cover Your Load - City of Grand Island, NE
Grand Island Television, in partnership with the Solid Waste Division, created a PSA that is sure to hit you in the face with the message of the importance of covering your load on the way to the transfer station and landfill. The “Cover Your Load.” PSA has reduced the incidence of uncovered loads by 34.6 percent from 2014 to 2015 and has helped create a cleaner, safer, Grand Island.

Arlington Parks and Recreation Unplug and Connect PSAs - City of Arlington, TX
In line with its Vision and Mission, the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department developed a campaign to encourage citizens to unplug from their electronic devices and hectic schedules and connect with nature, family and their community. One component of this Unplug & Connect campaign was a series of creative and brief public services announcements that were aired on local cable channels and as targeted YouTube advertisements.

Pools Closed - City of Farmers Branch, TX
Drawing on the spirit of John Candy, our actor portrayed a security guard telling an eager family that the City pools was closed (a'la WalleyWorld in National Lampoon's Vacation). However, he had additional information for them as to how they could still swim in the summer of 2014 while a new waterpark was built.

State of the City - City of Richardson, TX
The goal of the video is to inform the community on the larger economic development projects occurring in the city as well as to build support and enthusiasm in the community for the many amenities enjoyed by residents in the community. It also informs residents about recent important actions taken by the city council. It is a short five minute video that helps to bring residents up-to-date on the most significant occurrences that have occurred in the community during the past year.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - City of Highland Village, TX
Police departments around the country are continually reminding people to prevent theft of the contents of their vehicles by either hiding or taking their belongs and locking their car. Particularly during the holiday season burglars find easy targets in shopping center parking lots when holiday gifts, phones, tablets and computers are left in plain sight and sometimes in an unlocked car. Highland Village’s safe city reputation sometimes creates complacency among residents and visitors alike. Working with the police department, we decided to play on the popular Dr. Suess Christmas movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Can we say thefts of vehicles were down because of this video? Well, no, but we were told the Grinch video served as a reminder to residents to do their part in protecting their belongings.

Drowning Supervision - City of Albany, OR
In dry Arizona, the leading cause of death in the state for children ages 1-4 is drowning. “Only stepped away for a minute” is the reaction heard most often. Thus, the City of Yuma Fire wanted to reinforce the need for adult supervision. Our video team produced a powerful message on a video good enough that local TV stations ran it instead of nationally produced content as public service announcements.

Last summer's epidemic of children being left to swelter to death in hot cars was the focus of this series of public service announcements. We let actual recordings of calls to our 911 center to do the talking.

Stop the Wrath of Litter - City of Corpus Christi, TX
The Wrath of Trash video was created as part of an overall litter education campaign. The public service announcement highlighted wrath type elements of anticipation and even the ever popular zombies to reach a younger audience about the perils of litter.

2014 DNT TXT N DRV - City of Farmers Branch, TX
After several high profile distracted driving accidents in Farmers Branch, the City Council took a bold step and became one of the first cities in the Metroplex to ban use of a mobile device while driving. This PSA was produced entirely in-house, shot on a DSLR, and widely distributed as part of the ongoing education campaign.

Quick, Quiet, Preventable - City of Round Rock, TX
It happens all too often and it doesn’t have to; An adult looks away for just a minute and a child drowns in a pool. The Round Rock Fire Department and the City’s multimedia specialist worked together in creating an impactful PSA that leaves a lasting impression.

The Palm Beach County Inspector General exists to enhance public trust in government. This public service announcement was created to alert the public and interested entities on the purpose of this office and the services it provides. The stated purpose of the Office of the Inspector General is to provide independent and objective insight, oversight, and foresight in promoting efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity in government.
