Public Information Officer
This full-time position is responsible for managing and implementing the City’s overall communications strategies, including branding, imaging, and messaging. Serves as the primary point of contact for media. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a self-starter, creative, and enjoys working with a collaborative team. Candidates must have excellent writing and editing skills. Examples of duties include, but are not limited to: composing articles, marketing materials, speeches, press releases; serving as liaison to media; updating and maintaining City websites; publishing the City newsletter; taking photographs; managing social media; and providing media relations assistance to the police department as needed.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in course of study related to field and 3 years experience.
