The City Secretary performs duties as set forth by the City Charter and is under the general administrative direction of the City Council and City Manager. The FY 2014-2015 City Secretary budget is $115,000.
The selected candidate should have an associate degree in public administration, business, or a related field and 3 or more years of experience and/or training as a City Secretary. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Must hold a State Notary Public Commission, or have the ability to obtain the credential within 60 days of hire. State Municipal Clerks Certification is preferred, or enrollment in the course will be required within 6 months of employment. The salary range for this position is $59,568 to $89,352 depending on qualifications and experience.
