Senior Communications Program Manager

Salary: $48.46 - $60.23 Hourly, $8,399.73 - $10,439.87 Monthly
Under general direction, plans, organizes, reviews, and participates in a variety of professional and administrative activities in support of multi-media communications initiatives; provides expertise and leadership in support of both the internal and external on-line presences for the District, as well as communications development-related functions; identifies and develops effective business relationships; coordinates and assures program related consultants, contractors and vendors fulfill service level expectations.
Requires lead or advanced-journey level of proficiency in the skills and abilities outlined above, plus graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or a closely related field; and five years of progressively responsible professional experience involving the development and coordination of communications programs and projects, including website content management; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in communicating water conservation or scientific/technical information is preferred, and ability to use Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, and a working knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus.
