3CMA - Communications & Outreach Manager - Job Posting

Introduction

The Communications & Outreach Manager is responsible for the planning, development and administration of a variety of the District’s public information services, public outreach, internal communications, water conservation outreach, volunteer programs outreach and other communications programs. The incumbent must be an exceptional communicator both orally and in writing with the ability to effectively translate technical information and disseminate it to the public. A proven ability to foster communications, solicit feedback and understand and address local community needs is expected. Journalistic integrity and experience with news outlets, event coordination, community outreach, and marketing are necessary as is digital savvy with social media and website management. Creative thinking, writing, and the exercise of initiative and sound judgment are required. Supervision of others is necessary, as is coordination and administration of outside vendor services. This position will also manage the development of overall communication policy, plans and direction of the Public Information Office.
