The City is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Communications Specialist
The purpose of this position is to perform professional level communications work, community outreach, and media relations work that improve City and community relations.
The person in this position will be responsible for accomplishing City outreach goals, enhancing citizen involvement, and improving access to City services.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in broadcast, electronic/multimedia, graphic design, communications, public relations, or related field;
Two (2) or more years of relevant, professional experience in broadcast, electronic/multimedia, graphic design, communications, public relations, or related field;
Basic skills in Microsoft Excel; Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates with experience with a variety of production platforms including photo editing software, video production/editing systems, desktop publishing software and social media platforms.
$55,992.00 - $69,984.00 Annually
