SALARY: $55,747.66 - $86,427.54 Annually

Job Description: Employees in this position are responsible for the technical, administrative, and supervisory aspects of production and dissemination of public information. Responsible for coordinating, planning, and organizing the dissemination of information concerning all aspects of City’s operations.
Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, and mass communications or related field; recent experience in responsible public relations positions. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in professional level work. Previous related public sector experience required. Some supervisory experience required. Experience with government television broadcast functions, operations and content. Active in public information organizations. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher etc.). Possession of a valid driver’s license with an overall good driving record required. If driver’s license is out of state, must be able to obtain a state driver’s license within 6 months of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in public relations, journalism, and mass communications or related field. Accreditation in organizations, such as but not limited to: International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Desktop publishing experience with Adobe products.
